A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
The Axamer Lizum ski resort is one of the few that can be reached from Bavaria without paying motorway tolls.
We were there on Monday, January 13, 2025, skiing.
Warning: Parking costs an unbelievable €10 per day for those without a ski pass!
The ski area only has five longer lifts, which is perfectly fine for me for a day trip.
However, the two lifts at Birgitzköpfl were closed, and consequently, so were the adjacent slopes, yet we were still charged the full ski pass price!
The Pleisen lift was closed until 10:00 AM, and skiers were turned away for reasons I couldn't fathom.
There is only one cozy mountain hut, the former "Bärenhütte," now the "Pleisenhütte."
The other establishments are large self-service restaurants.
Very loud music blared from the "Dohlennest" onto the slopes, and the "Schirmbar" was closed.
The slopes were in excellent condition and very well maintained all day.
The ski lift company's customer service was easily reachable by email and responded quickly and courteously to inquiries.

A fantastic ski resort with everything you could wish for!
The food is also great, especially the Lizum-Alm, which is highly recommended!

Sehr schlechte Pistenpräparierung. Sehr hohe Verletzungsgefahr.
