Alberta Ski Resorts

The Canadian Rockies provide the Canadian Province of Alberta with a plethora of high quality ski resorts. The TransCanada Highway makes those resorts easily accessible from Calgary International Airport.


The SkiBig3, Banff-Lake Louise Sunshine consists of three world class resorts all located in beautiful Banff National Park. Lake Louise Ski Resort is the giant of Canadian skiing with over 4,200 acres of skiable terrain; Mt. Norquay, opened in 1926, is a locals’ gem and is a training ground for Olympic and World Cup athletes; Sunshine Village is Canada’s highest elevated ski resort and offers 3,300 acres of skiable terrain.


In addition to the Big 3, Alberta has several smaller ski resorts that offer execellent skiing and riding options. Castle Mountain Resort, located in Southwest Albert, benefits from its location on the Continental Divide and Marmot Basin, located in the town of Jasper, provides skiing and snowboarding on a wide variety of terrain.
