A very good resort for all levels. This resort has excellent facilities and the snow conditions are generally very good. The après-ski is on par with the best resorts.

Amazing time here! worth the 4 hour drive from barcelona! We are expert skiers and found fantastic powder runs! Some steep runs. There is something for everyone here! I had a hard time finding bumps but otherwise a great hidden secret in the pyrenees. Snowed while we were here so we had the fresh experience. Cute little ski town. Everything wraps up on sundays early so get your shopping done early.

Sin escrupulos abren con temporal cuando hasta los monitores lo llaman impracticable. Sin visibilidad, nevando y vientos de 90km/h en cima. Un robo, deberian devolver ese forfait.
No suben los asientos de las sillas cuando esta nevando asi que se te moja el culo en la primera silla.
No pisan la nieve adecuadamente y cuando cae 40cm al dia las pistas no se pueden pisar solo por la noche.
Si alquilabas en aramon te guardan los esquis alli por la noche, ahora te cobran guardesquis por un lado y taquilla para zapatillas por otro!
En cerler y Panticosa no cobran.
Nosotros no volveremos.
Al precio que se pone con tantos extras no merece la pena.
El monopolio de Aramon con las clases de esqui , ya que lo sufrimos, por lo menos que sirvan de una estacion a otra.

Nous avons passé une semaine sur Formigal la saison dernière.
Que dire sinon que nous ne connaissions pas le ski dans les Pyrénées espagnoles et que nous avons été très agréablement surpris par la taille du domaine, 137km de pistes ce qui en fait le plus grand domaine de ski alpin d'Espagne, mais également la modernité des remontés mécaniques. Nous étions habitués aux domaines dans les Alpes et ce que propose Formigal est un excellent compromis entre les grands domaines de ski des Alpes et les station petites et quelque peu vieillissantes dans les Pyrénées françaises, mais tout en gardant une grande proximité avec des villes comme Toulouse ou Bordeaux (3h de route).
De plus pas grand monde en semaine, nous avions réservé une formule de dimanche soir à vendredi soir avec 5 jours de ski, très bon tarif, personne sur les pistes vraiment super!
Une super ambiance nocturne après-ski, de nombreuses activités extra-ski, les thermes du Balneario de Panticosa à 25mn pour la détente et une super hôtellerie sur place, on a vraiment adoré notre séjour et nous reviendrons.
This is a lively and budget-priced purpose-built village with wide sunny slopes. Originally a particularly good beginners choice as at 2000m the gondola-accessed nursery area is unusually snow-sure, but a huge expansion over the past few years has widened Formigal’s appeal.
In 2003 Formigal opened the first eight-seat chairlift in Spain and in the Pyrenees (including Andorra and the French Pyrenees region). The lift replaced an old gondola lift. Spain was the fourth European country to install an eight seater chair, following the world's first in Norway, five years ago. Perisher Blue in Australia is believed to be the only resort outside Europe to operate such a lift.
In 2003 Formigal also opening two new high speed quads in a new ski sector Le Pourtalet. For the 2004-5 season it opened more new lifts than any other resort in the world with seven new lifts in total. Two six seaters chairs and two magic carpet lifts were added.
Uplift went up by a third to 34,000 skiers per hour, with a handful of surface lifts replaced, along with one of the world's rapidly diminishing count of old single chair lifts and an old triple chair. 30 hectares of new terrain was opened up by the new lifts in the Portalet sector, including 11km (6 miles) of new blue and red category runs.
Total ski run length increased to 68km (43 miles) and snowmaking was expanded too across the area with 212 new snow guns.
