Base Lodge Regulation

  • We are disinfecting high-touch points (railings, bathrooms, door handles, tables, chairs, etc.) and high-trafficked areas (gondolas, ticket windows, elevators, doors, guest rooms, etc.) throughout the destination more frequently. 
  • Restaurants, lodges, and other common areas will be reorganized to promote social distancing. 
  • Our cleaning staff has implemented new protocols and is utilizing cleaning products effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne or blood borne pathogens in key areas. 
  • We are upgrading many facilities across the resort, installing touchless faucets to reduce points of contact. 
  • Staff will wear masks and follow other guidelines including distancing and sanitation, as outlined but state, local, and corporate regulations. 
  • Occupancy and traffic will be managed when necessary. Please adhere to signage and employee instructions.  
  • Many restrooms have been upgraded with touchless facilities.

Lift Regulations

  • Masks are required indoors, in lift lines and on lifts, gondolas, and offload areas.  
  • Perforated, ventilated, and single-layer neck gaiter style face coverings will not be allowed. Guests are asked to use additional or alternative masks before entering facilities, queues, or other areas where masks are required. 
  • Occupancy of chairlifts will be limited to a single household; or when persons from different households can be seated as far apart as possible but no less than one seat space apart.  
  • Panorama Gondola will limit capacity to single households. The Village Gondola will limit capacity to 25% with open windows, even in inclement weather, and seating will be arranged to ensure six feet of physical distancing between members of different households. Household members do not need to be seated six feet apart.
  • Distancing in lift lines occurs naturally due to the length of ski and snowboarding equipment, but guests should be conscious of, and maintain appropriate physical distancing with guests outside your travel group. 
  • All queuing will be performed in outdoor settings only.
  • Gondola cabins windows will be open at all times. Guests must wear face coverings at all times while on lifts and in gondola cabins, and guests must maximize physical space between each other.  
  • Lift operations staff will wear face coverings and use appropriate COVID-19 sanitation and mitigation measures while working. Please follow staff instructions.

  • Currently, only private lessons are available, ensuring only people within your travel group are placed together.  
  • All guests must complete a health screening prior to the start of their lesson. 
  • Instructors will follow social distancing practices as much as possible, utilizing teaching aides and strategies to promote independence. While every effort will be made to maintain a 6ft. distance, situations may arise that require less.
  • Lesson durations and times have been adjusted to minimize the demand for indoor breaks. Indoor spaces are not available during a lesson. Please arrive prepared for the duration of your lesson.  
  • Masks are required indoors, in lift lines and on lifts, in gondolas, shuttles, and when social distancing with others outside your travel group is not possible.  
  • Perforated, ventilated, and single-layer neck gaiter style face coverings will not be allowed. Guests are asked to use additional or alternative masks before entering facilities, queues, or other areas where masks are required.

Ski Rental Regulations

  • Daily reservations and occupancy will be closely managed for each Mammoth Mountain rental shop.  Guests may be asked to queue outdoors while waiting to enter. Please arrive prepared.  
  • Reservations are very strongly encouraged to help manage occupancy and reduce in-person transactions. Walk-up rentals will be accommodated only if availability and capacity allow, and only after 10AM. 
  • In order to better manage occupancy, designated pick-up times for reservation holders are 8–10AM and 1–3PM at the location indicated on your reservation. 
  • Day-use lockers will be limited. Please plan accordingly.
  • Rental equipment will be sanitized after each use using disinfectant.  
  • Rental shops will be reconfigured to accommodate individuals or family groups in a socially distant manner 
  • After boot fitting, skis and snowboards will be delivered to a designated on-snow location to minimize time indoors. Equipment returns and overnight storage will also be located at alternate locations.   
  • In smaller locations, appointments will be scheduled for fittings.

Overview

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area boasts the highest elevation, 11,053’, for skiing and snowboarding in the state of California. Located along the eastern edge of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, Mammoth Mountain is a fan favorite for it’s 3,100 vertical feet of skiing, 3,500 skiable acres, 400” of annual snowfall and an average winter season that lasts from November to June. Mammoth’s accommodations include their Main Lodge, Canyon Lodge and Eagle Lodge, all conveniently located near the mountain, and in addition to their impeccable skiing and snowboarding, the mountain also offers cross-country and snowshoeing terrain, Snowmobile Adventures, and luxurious Snowcat Tours.
