Yeah.. not the best conditions even with a few inches of fresh. Not to mention lines. Expect to ski groomers and there’s not really any rideable blacks. If you have the choice stay away from summit county until a storm system moves in. Probably this weekend. Lines should slow mid week but this holiday weekend was brutal. Next weekend will probably see major traffic too with the potential snow, if you’re not already booked, go south or even cooper. Loveland and a basin got more than Breck so those might even be better. Just wait for a significant system, may be some powder Sunday but honestly it’s such a crap shoot I wouldn’t rely on it.

Hour long wait at quicksilver just to get to thin lousy conditions. I guess reservations to limit crowds isn’t important on holiday weekends.

All hard packed, top to bottom. Icy in spots. Basically the same conditions as everywhere else in Summit county right now.

Dust on crust on many blue and up runs - expect that to get worse this week with lots of sunny days and cold nights. Some pow stashes to find if you're willing to work for it and get into the trees a little below Contest Bowl or hike-to terrain deep into Peak 9 sidecountry, but most of the high bowls and faces aren't open yet and won't be for a while. Peak 7 is always great for afternoon cruisers and you can even find a few spots of corduroy in there from time to time.
Seriously in need of several large storm cycles, and the early season snowpack has resulted in some big slides that broke the Whale's Tail down to the ground, so don't expect rideable blacks until late February unless you love busting your jaw on your knees on mogul runs off Peak 9 and 10.
Lift lines move well and are orderly, but the crowded spots are always crowded. Lifties are taking mask wearing in line very seriously - please respect them and their jobs. The good news is, everyone seems to be following the rules and being respectful, and there are in general fewer people on the mountain.
Gondola line is very long in the mornings, however. Take a bus to Beaver Run, up to Peak 8 base, or, the secret spot if you're willing to walk a bit, get on 4 O'clock lift where there's no wait.

There last Wednesday, packed powder...runs were fine but crowded. Lift lines were longer than what the Epic times post. Colorado Superchair was running 15+ and no policing of mask while in line only when loading. 14 out of 30 lifts operating is not helpful either. I suggest other mountains at least from a Covid safety
