Skier & Snowboarder-Submitted Reviews for Cimone

A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
A large and varied ski area, both in terms of views and the slopes themselves. The quality of the slopes (snow permitting) is very good, as is the hospitality, perfect for both families and groups of friends. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the ski lifts, which are often poorly maintained, especially one chairlift, No. 7 to Buca del Cimone, which has been out of use for years... but is promptly marked on the ski area map. In all this, the ski area as a whole is worth a visit, and will offer, especially at higher altitudes, views of rare beauty.

I went on Monday, December 29th, and the ticket list situation was disastrous! I'm not complaining about the lines at the ticket office or at the lifts (which is normal given the winter holiday period), but about everything else. The lifts were poorly marked and poorly maintained despite the snow in the area. Many slopes were closed without any warning. The slopes were full of rocks that could break your skis. And all for the modest sum of €74 (for one adult and one child).
I think too much emphasis has been placed on promoting everything outside of skiing (pre-ski, music, drinking, etc.) without addressing the most important aspects: the ski area, safety, and sport.

Good slopes, several positive experiences with campers at Le Polle. It's a shame there's nothing there besides the excellent Rifugia La Tana del Lupo.

Although it's not located in the Alps and therefore inevitably suffers from often irregular snowfall, the resort as a whole is extremely pleasant and fun on the right days. The panoramic run, with breathtaking views, is very simple and therefore suitable even for inexperienced skiers, who, being unable to manage the slopes in the higher reaches of the resorts, often have to forgo the views. The junctions and connections nestled in the woods, the numerous quality refreshment points, but not at the crazy prices found almost everywhere else, offer all this. All this on over 50 km of slopes, on the right days for less than €40 a day.

I think they're doing their best to maintain an Apennine resort under the current climate conditions. This year, with the heavy snowfall in December, it was a lot of fun; many slopes were open, and snowshoeing was even possible. The ski pass and accommodation prices are objectively very reasonable.

Prices are rising, the resort is never full, chairlifts are outdated, the cable car is always closed, slopes are often icy, and shuttle bus services are completely disorganized—unacceptable.
Poorly managed overtourism.
Prices are rising and service is deteriorating.

Ottimo comprensorio , molto ben curato e con gran professionalità.
Piste sempre moto ben tirate .

Mi ricordavo di un bel cimone ma con ormai da tempo chiusa la 2° tronco del cimoncino ha perso tanto tanto
