Buckle up! The exceptionally smooth-running Laser GS would have held its own even in the Absolute Race category. Long radii are its speciality; that’s where it really carves up the piste with its edges. It excels in almost every area with top marks. The only exception: short turns require effort, and the ski demands stamina. “This thing is crazy fast,” sums up one tester. “A real treat for experts, but for many it might quickly prove too much of a ski for a normal day on the mountain!” A weapon that demands to be ridden – and which, despite two “Best in Test” awards, narrowly missed out on the VIP title.
