The moderate racer for carving enthusiasts
I am a premium ski, on a par with the SL, MT and GS models in the ‘Race’ category in terms of technology and materials. A top-class ski for technically skilled carving enthusiasts who love extreme lean angles but also want to enjoy long days on the slopes. So: if you’re looking for a race carver that doesn’t need to be skied quite so aggressively or dynamically, I’m the ideal partner for you.
My strengths
- I love carving, but I’m also at home on slightly softer slopes and when cruising at a leisurely pace
- Slightly softer in tuning and more forgiving and versatile than my race counterpart
- Despite a wonderful sensation of centrifugal force, I won’t drain all the strength from your legs
My weaknesses
- I have a slight tendency to cross-cut with inexperienced skiers
- Anyone who wants to hold their own on rough slopes with me should have the necessary technique or opt for an all-mountain ski
Recommended length: Length determines character. Choose a short-turn ski at your height minus 5–10 cm, multi-turn models usually at 170–175 cm, and long-turn skis at 175–180 cm. The rule is: the shorter the ski, the more manoeuvrable; the longer, the smoother the ride.
