The Race Type MT is our new vision of a 67 mm-waisted race ski with a 15 m radius. Born out of decades of Austrian high-performance tradition and imbued with ambitious creativity, it represents a leap forward. Its sidecut has been reworked, whilst we’ve relied on tried-and-tested construction with features such as the “Trueblend Race” wood core, phenolic sidewalls and triple Titanal reinforcement. The result: a ski – powerful, precise and uncompromisingly different – that’s not for the faint-hearted!

“Multiturn perfection, but you’ve got to put in the effort!” – for many testers, the Racetype was one of the highlights. It impresses with its sporty edge grip on short, medium and long turns alike. However, easy drifting isn’t its idea of skiing. “If you ski it powerfully and actively, you get an explosive, fun-filled rocket with plenty of stability and versatility,” enthuses one tester. “But: if you ski too passively, you’ll be challenged and waste its potential.” A masterpiece in purple that’s raked in several awards.
