The Firebird ignites from the very first turn. Certainly not a laid-back companion, but a slalom ski that demands focused riding. Once on edge, it cuts cleanly through, delivers strong rebound and remains stable right to the end of the turn. “Sporty and sharp, yet versatile,” is how one tester aptly describes its character. For ambitious short-turn skiers, this is a powerful sports ski that can also be drifted a little; for “casual skiers”, however, it’s too demanding. A formidable short-turn machine that delivers plenty of grip and puts a big smile on your face.
