It doesn’t always have to be maximum sport! The e-SL is a touch more moderate – more turn-happy and softer tuned than the pure-bred e-SL Pro. That lets short-turn fans enjoy longer, more intense days on the hill without overtaxing themselves. The new shovel shape makes turn initiation playful; the “EMC” damping technology reduces vibrations. Features include a wood core, Titanal, ABS sidewalls and our “Race Plate Evo”.

SKIMAGAZIN verdict

Concentrated race genes meet pleasant breadth of use: the WCR e-SL shines with rich edge grip, stability and very direct pull into the turn. It asks for a sporty style, but the dynamic effort is rewarded with maximum short-turn fun. “An SL as it should be – pure fun in short and medium radii,” is the verdict. Despite the hefty weight, it’s superbly balanced and powerful. A bull’s-eye for trained skiers – it impressed throughout and rightly earned a VIP.
