Kästle RX12 GS (Raceplate)

What the manufacturer says

Our top-of-the-range model for on-piste skiing, delivering maximum performance. The “Infini-Core Race” core construction has been further developed to enable even more consistent handling. The RX12 GS impresses with a World Cup-inspired sidecut and race finish. Thanks to the “Hollowtech Race” technology, specially designed for racing, and the high-quality sandwich construction, it offers absolute smoothness and stability at high speeds.

SKIMAGAZIN review

The tongue-in-cheek comment “The fastest rattletrap in the Alps!” is a bit harsh as a description, but not entirely wrong. On hard-packed slopes at high speed, the Kästle is brimming with racing DNA and delivers outstanding stability on long turns, though it feels quite heavy and, due to its shovel design, can be a bit noisy at times. On the edge, it displays thoroughbred RS qualities; drifted turns and tight radii aren’t really its thing. A top-class ski for very sporty skiers who seek speed and appreciate a few quirks.
