A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
A family-friendly resort on a human scale, lacking après-ski atmosphere, with an often poorly managed influx of people, but the free parking outside the resort centre is a plus.

Excellent resort, I recommend it

A fantastic resort for all ages, and as an added bonus, it's linked to the Portes du Soleil ski area, allowing you to ski in Switzerland, Avoriaz, the Gers region, and Morzine as well.
Several activities are available, including the Fantasticalble zip line, an outdoor pool and spa, and walks around Lake Vonnes.
The ski area caters to all types of skiers.

Portes-du-Soleil grossartiges Skigebiet en France et Suisse.

A pleasant, charming, family-friendly resort, well worth discovering, but best suited to beginner to intermediate skiers. There are a few interesting black runs for experts. When the snow is fresh, the terrain is enjoyable and safe. Happy skiing everyone!

Chatel, my "home away from home" at heart...
Nicolas MONESI
An excellent family resort that has managed to retain its Savoyard style with its chalets clinging to the mountainside. The resort is touristy, but it doesn't feel at all like a "tourist factory".
Laurent Cocu
A really beautiful resort with great places to eat for lunch and après-ski; the center of Châtel is fantastic.
Isabelle PERON
A ski area where good skiers have fun. Beginners must choose between watching others enjoy themselves or taking the plunge and taking risks.
There are only two very short green runs where boredom sets in quickly. The other runs advertised as green are actually the "ends" of blue runs; their short length doesn't make them any less difficult.
The staff is aware of the inconvenience and attentive.
HERVÉ UHLEN
Excellent family resort with the possibility of taking advantage of the Portes du Soleil extension...
