I love this resort so much that I bought an apartment there...

I absolutely loved this authentic resort. The panoramic views are breathtaking for those who take the time to observe... Beautiful, very well-maintained slopes (spring).

• Traditional Alpine architecture, exceptional views, friendly locals and staff, reasonably priced accommodation for the region
• The slopes are difficult for beginners (few green runs), but the blue runs are not easy for occasional skiers either.

Lack of parking, poorly maintained slopes during the Christmas and New Year period. One wonders what the point of all these snow cannons is. Lift passes have gone up again.

My stay in Valmorel was a real breath of fresh air. What immediately charmed me was the authentic and welcoming atmosphere of the village. Unlike the large, concrete-laden resorts, Valmorel has managed to preserve its Savoyard charm with its wooden chalets, slate roofs, and narrow pedestrian streets. After a day on the slopes, it was a pleasure to stroll through the village, discover the small local shops, and enjoy a fondue or raclette in a cozy restaurant with a mountain view. The welcome is warm and friendly; you can tell it's a human-scale resort where they take the time to make visitors feel welcome. As for the skiing, the area pleasantly surprised me with its diversity. With 165 km of slopes linked to Saint-François-Longchamp, there's something for everyone. I was able to enjoy some beautiful red runs while my less experienced friends had a blast on the more accessible blue runs. What I particularly appreciated was the absence of lift lines, even in peak season. The panorama is breathtaking, with views of Mont Blanc and the Lauzière mountain range. In addition to skiing, the resort offers plenty of fun activities: snowshoeing, tobogganing, and even relaxing moments in spas overlooking the mountains. Of course, there are a few things to consider: the relatively low altitude can be a problem for snow conditions at the end of the season, and prices, whether for lift passes or restaurants, remain quite high. The atmosphere in the evenings is also rather quiet, which might disappoint those looking for a lively nightlife. But despite these minor drawbacks, Valmorel remains an ideal destination for a holiday with family or friends. It's a resort where you quickly feel at home, with a perfect balance between sport, relaxation, and a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely go back!

An ideal resort for families with beginner and intermediate skiers. A very pleasant village for going out and making the most of a mountain holiday.

A magnificent resort where you can spend the day in the sun. For enthusiasts, you can try the ungroomed slopes in complete safety. And if you're feeling adventurous, there are some very beautiful off-piste areas easily accessible. The pedestrian-friendly resort is pleasant. Their offer of a 50% discount on the Grand Domaine ski pass on Saturdays is simply brilliant. You can then discover Saint François Longchamps and its incomparable view of the Belledonne and Aiguilles d'Arves mountain ranges. In short, a resort that has it all.

• Returning to the station is not always easy if you are a beginner.

I've been going to this station for several years now and I appreciate the recent upgrades to some of the infrastructure (the new departure point, for example). The staff are generally friendly.

A beautiful family resort that's perfect for beginners and experienced skiers alike. For pros or partygoers, however, Les Arcs, the 3 Valleys, or other more lively resorts are preferable.

• There are very few black runs, and the cable car that connects the town with two hamlets higher up in the resort is outdated.
