This is the largest Nordic ski area in the Pyrenees.
For me, this resort is perfect for discovering different forms of skiing for a day without breaking the bank.
- Alpine skiing, learning the basics to ski safely. After that, this area is dedicated to Nordic activities.
So if you want to delve deeper into this discipline, you'll need to choose another resort.
- Cross-country skiing, then progressing to more serious practice, perhaps even biathlon.
Skating, and then progressing further.
Snowshoeing with several trails. Dogs are allowed on short leashes (this isn't the case everywhere), and you can have fun sledding (only sleds with brakes are allowed) with four runs available (including one for beginners).
Mountain biking on snow and access to two hiking trails are also available.
The village of Angaka offers a variety of activities, including dog sledding, horseback riding in the snow or on skis (for those with the necessary skill level), and igloo building with a survival expert. You can also embark on several guided hikes.
PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are required for all activities.
This is a resort I knew as a child and am now introducing to my family.
