A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
If the trails were groomed daily, it would be wonderful, but as it is, it's just views instead of skiing, with bumps starting early in the morning. I can't recommend it. The groomers are used to haul down broken-in skiers. It's a shame, because the potential is there. I don't know if there's a lack of groomers, or a lack of people to work with, or a lack of willpower.

It's hard for me to judge because we were there when the weather wasn't exactly favorable. However, the trails were very well prepared, and the ride in the cable car, buffeted by wild winds, was an extreme experience.

From blue to black runs, everything is available. Sledding is great, even for families. There's a kids' snowboard park and a high ropes course – everyone's catered for. Snacks at the mountain huts are available for every budget.
Après-ski is also a big part of the experience.
And if you need equipment, there are many specialist shops throughout the Tux Valley, where friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to help. Ski lessons can also be arranged.
For romantics, there's breakfast in the gondola; for more technical enthusiasts, there's snowcat riding, cross-country skiing, curling with the family, and much more.
A relaxing holiday for young and old.

I visited the ski resort on January 30th, enjoying excellent snow conditions and surprisingly short waiting times. The journey from Upper Austria by public transport worked perfectly! The weather was also fantastic!

I went early August specifically to ski. At this time the vast majority go for hiking and scenery. It really is a beautiful place with very modern lifts and gondolas. In Winter and Spring I can imagine the skiing is great. But in August it was 70-80% ice. The snow , where it did exist was still decent , but it was a rare find. So my hopes of late Summer skiing were deflated. It probably is great through early July but it's really not skiable year round. All that said, I will try to go back. It's a wonderful and unique place and the drive through the Austrian countryside can't be beat.

"An absolutely breathtaking experience! The Hintertux Glacier offers an unparalleled backdrop with majestic peaks and a fascinating glacial landscape. Skiing through this impressive natural wonder is a challenge, but every run is worth it. The crisp air, the crunching ice underfoot, and the opportunity to experience untouched wilderness make this place a must-see for nature lovers and adventurers. A true gem of nature that I highly recommend!"

We love the glacier. It's simply fantastic, and especially last week the snow conditions were great compared to other ski resorts.

Bardzo dobrze przygotowany ośrodek, fajne trasy. Duży plus za przestronną świetlicę gdzie można zostawić swoje rzeczy, czy przyjść na przerwę
