I've been coming to Hochgurgl for many years, always for the season opening. The weather and snow have always been fantastic, and even recently with the introduction of the World Cup, everything is perfect. The slopes are very well groomed, and the staff at the lifts, as well as the mountain rescue and snowcat drivers, are friendly. My hotel is ideally located. A real treat – the hotel, the food, the skiing. Definitely worth it.

A fantastic ski resort. The panoramic views while skiing are simply breathtaking. In Hochgurgl, the slopes are a bit gentler, which is ideal for beginners. In Obergurgl, there are more steep slopes, and in my opinion, they are also the more beautiful ones.

I HAVE SKIED IN THE ALPS FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS AND FOUND THIS AREA TO BE DISAPPOINTING.
VERY LIMITED IN VARIATION AND NOT SUITED TO INTERMEDIATES.
LOCATION SEEMS TO SUFFER FROM POOR WEATHER.........IN PARTICULAR LOW CLOUD, FOG ETC.

If you report sick, your ski pass will not be refunded if you have already used it. This means the Obergurgel lift company is profiting from your illness. NO DISCLAIMER. Unfortunately, this doesn't fit at all with the otherwise very welcoming image of the region. Therefore, we will only buy day passes in the future; it's not exactly a cheap outing.

Wir kommen schon seit Jahren. Es gefällt uns immer wieder sehr gut. Nun freuen wir uns schon auf die letzte Märzwoche und unseren Skiurlaub. Und natürlich hoffen wir auf Sonne.
