Ski and snowboard enthusiasts from around the world:

We have been proud to provide you with free access to snow reports, resort guides and more, and we are beyond grateful for your readership and contributions to our community over the years.

Unfortunately given the changing media landscape, Mountain News Corporation has experienced financial declines in recent years. With additional economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic now facing our business, it is not financially viable to continue operating.

Mountain News Corporation and our OnTheSnow and Skiinfo websites will shut down on July 13, 2020. We will explore the possibility of selling, partnering, or contributing assets to another media outlet if there is an opportunity to allow for a consistent or enhanced online experience. For inquiries about Mountain News Corporation, please email Feedback_OTS@mountainnews.com.

We want to thank our loyal employees for their tireless work over the years to bring great information to all of you. We take comfort knowing that our collective passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding will certainly live on.

We’ll see you on the mountain.

Val di Non Ski Resorts

Val di Non features three skii area to offer great fun for winter sports lovers: cross-country and downhill skiing, ski-mountaineering and snowboarding. You will be given a number of occasions to enjoy tours on horse-drawn sleighs, or snow-shoe walks - very popular activities in Val di Non. You can also ice skate on Lake Smeraldo or at the Palaghiaccio ice arena in Fondo.
The area boasts plenty of ski-runs for downhill skiing at Mendola Pass on Monte Roen, in the Campi di Golf area; at Ruffrè-Mendola on Mount Nock (thanks to their artificial snow systems, snow is always guaranteed in both areas) and at Ciasaze on the Predaia plateau. Ruffrè and Predaia ski-runs are illuminated for a thrilling skiing session by night.
The beautiful natural setting also features numerous routes for ski-mountaineering.
The most popular places for cross-country skiing are the cross-country centre in Regole di Malosco, where trails meander across woods and glades, providing 10 km tracks at an average altitude of 1350 m a.s.l., and on Mount Predaia.
The Predaia snow park and themed park Nevelandia at Roen (Mendola Pass) provide fun for the entire family. You can learn to ski in a fairy-tale village featuring sleds and tubing tracks.
Make sure you do not miss the traditional "Ciaspolada" - the traditional snow-shoe walk, which is the main event of the Val di Non Epiphany celebrations.
