Do the link between Dam&uuml;ls and Mellau earlier rather than late in the afternoon. The Rossstelle and Gipfelbahn area gives you a proper sense of the ski area and some of the best views when visibility is good.
Snowpark Dam&uuml;ls is best treated as a planned stop, not an afterthought. It works well after a few warm-up runs, especially for snowboarders, teenagers and skiers who want a more playful session.

Cross-country skiers should look at Unterdam&uuml;ls and Stofel. Together they offer 11 km of groomed high-altitude tracks and are a good way to enjoy the quieter side of the mountains.
For the easiest end to the day, plan your final descent towards your base before the last lift rush. Aim for Uga-Express if you are staying in Dam&uuml;ls and Mellaubahn if you are staying in Mellau.
