Ellmau - SkiWelt Piste Map
The terrain at Ellmau - SkiWelt forms part of the much larger SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental. The main access point from Ellmau is the Hartkaiserbahn, which takes skiers up to Hartkaiser and into the wider linked piste network.
Beginners and families are well served by the Ellmau and Going sectors, where the pistes are easy to understand and well connected. This makes the area a good first-day choice before exploring further across SkiWelt.
Intermediate skiers can use Hartkaiser as a launch point for longer circuits. With 275 km of pistes, the wider area is well suited to full days of mileage, varied views and changing piste character.
Official features in the Ellmau - Going area include Kaiserpark Ellmau - Funpark and Speedstrecke Almbahn. The funpark adds a playful freestyle element, while the speed course gives confident skiers a short, sporty challenge.
Advanced skiers will find the most demanding skiing by extending into the wider SkiWelt network, where red and black pistes add more pace and technical interest. The full area ranges from 620 m to 1869 m, with a vertical drop of 1249 m.
The setting is a major part of the appeal. From Hartkaiser, views stretch towards the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbühel Alps, giving Ellmau - SkiWelt a strong sense of place as well as extensive skiing.
