Grindelwald - Wengen’s terrain is spread across several interconnected sectors, including Männlichen, Kleine Scheidegg and Eigergletscher. The resort offers 213 km of skiable terrain, with altitudes ranging from 796 m to 2,500 m and a vertical drop of 1,704 m. The lift system includes gondolas, high-speed chairs and surface lifts, ensuring smooth access across the mountain. The terrain is evenly distributed, with 44% intermediate, 37% advanced and 19% expert pistes.

Beginners will find gentle slopes and learning zones at Männlichen and Wengernalp, both equipped with surface lifts and magic carpets. The Männlichen Children’s Paradise is a standout feature, offering a safe and engaging environment for young skiers. The Figeler area in Wengen village provides easy access to beginner terrain, while Bodmi in Grindelwald caters to first-time skiers with a flat layout and ski school facilities.

Intermediate skiers can enjoy long cruising runs such as Panorama (Männlichen) and Wasserwendi, with consistent grooming and scenic backdrops. The descent from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen via piste 36 offers a relaxed pace and stunning views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The Eigergletscher sector features red pistes with reliable snow and access to the Eiger Express gondola, ideal for mid-level skiers seeking altitude and variety.

Advanced skiers will appreciate the technical descents from the Lauberhorn and Black Rock pistes, with steep gradients and tight corners. The Lauberhorn World Cup run is open to the public outside race periods and provides a 4.2 km challenge with dramatic alpine scenery. The flanks of the Eiger offer more demanding terrain, with off-piste options and natural features for confident skiers.

Freestyle enthusiasts can explore three terrain parks, including White Elements near Bärgelegg, which features rails, kickers and a halfpipe. The parks are designed for progression, with features suitable for both skiers and snowboarders. Tubing lanes are scattered across the resort, with 15 in total offering family-friendly fun and easy access from key lifts.

Unique landscapes include the broad ridgelines of Männlichen and the glacier views from Eigergletscher. The resort’s layout allows for scenic transitions between sectors, with cogwheel trains and gondolas linking the terrain efficiently. Whether carving on open slopes or exploring alpine bowls, Grindelwald - Wengen delivers a varied and rewarding ski experience.
