Feb 2025I only use the area to get started with freeride routes or tours. Otherwise, I find Andermatt relatively backward and sometimes arrogant in its service.

- Excellent snow quality. Beautiful views. Very picturesque town.
- Perhaps the slopes are lacking. The slopes aren't too challenging.

Mar 2024With a pass costing over €90, even the 2-minute train ride from the Hospendal ski lift to Andermatt is charged (!)... While the journey on the same train is free to Sedrun (the other side of the resort), the ticket inspector begs you for 3 CHF... The shame of Andermatt!!! Also, beware of the parking scam (where you'll get a ticket!) with no information on how to pay, the machine is hidden, it ONLY accepts cash, and it malfunctions. You won't get a receipt, so there's no proof of payment. Disgusting.

Nov 2020We have been going here for 25 years and it is a hidden gem, even though Pirmin Zurbriggen rates it nr 1 in the world. The free ride area is second to non and there is a great mix of red and black slopes. The snow is often powder quality and revered as one of the best in Europe. The ski-area jointed with Sedrun makes for a full day expedition. Often sunny as well. Enjoy!

Mar 2020Langjährige Saisoninhaber wurden in diesem Jahr gerupft. Angepriesene Vorteile wie Frühskifahren für 100% Erwerbstätige praktisch nicht nutzbar. Nach Verkauf der Abo wurde Halbtax eingeführt und nun noch die Saison eingestellt, obwohl andere grosse Gebiete noch offen haben. Immer höhrere Preise und geringere Rabatte. Gastronomie ist ok. Die Gleichbehandlung von Ferienwohnungsinhaber und Einheimischen ist nicht korrekt.
