Nestling in a unique mountain scenery, Davos is the highest town in Europe and also one of its largest winter sports areas. The ski resort offers varied slopes ranging from an altitude of 1,560 to 2,844 m. There are numerous ski lifts taking skiers and snowboarders up to the mountain tops.  

The ski resort Davos is a winter sports metropolis and almost an eldorado for snowboard and downhill fans as well as Nordic skiers, ice sports enthusiasts and winter walkers. Five sledge runs of a length between 2.5 and 8.6 kilometres guarantee toboggan fun in the region.  

A ski holiday in Davos has plenty to offer to night owls, too. There are many opportunities to go out: rustic mountain inns as well as restaurants, night clubs, hotel bars, a theatre, a concert hall and a casino.

<a href="http://www.zurich-airport.com/" target="_blank">Zurich Airport</a> is located 150 km from Davos. The airline &lsquo;Swiss&rsquo; links Zurich with all major European cities. 
Airport transfers: 
From Zurich, you can reach Davos in less than two hours by car: A13 motorway towards Chur &ndash; exit Landquart onto the national road N28 &ndash; continue to Klosters or Davos. 
It takes nearly three hours to reach Davos by train from Zurich. There are train connections from Zurich&rsquo;s Hauptbahnhof (main station) to Davos every hour between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Check timetables and other information on the official Swiss Federal Railways website. 
The Davos Express runs during the winter season (December to April) every Saturday with a bus shuttle service between Zurich Airport and Davos Klosters conveniently back and forth. 
Getting Around: 
The Davos Klosters Premium Card (guest card) can be used on all local buses and trains (Rhaetian Railway RhB) free of charge.
Both in Davos and Klosters, the buses stop at the lift stations. Walkers can explore the 156 km of marked winter walking paths or take a bus into the countryside (rural buses run at least once an hour).

Slopeside lodging of 24,000 beds is available. More than 70 additional lodging facilities are available in Davos.

<a href="http://www.grastroechni.ch/">Gaudy's</a>, Grastr&ouml;chni, 7250 Klosters. Grastr&ouml;chni is at the end of the Parsenn ski area. Here, apr&egrave;s-ski is celebrated daily 12 to 9 p.m to the sounds of live folk and pop bands.
