Rokytnice nad Jizerou - Horní Domky Piste Map
The terrain at Rokytnice nad Jizerou – Horní Domky is one of the strongest in the western Krkonoše. With 13.4 km of pistes and a 655 m vertical drop, it offers a more substantial ski experience than many smaller Czech areas.
The pistes sit on the slopes of Lysá hora above Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The long descents are a major part of the appeal, with the longest piste reaching around 2.9 km.
Intermediate skiers have the broadest choice, as more than half of the terrain sits in this category. It is a good place to build rhythm, link longer turns and enjoy a proper sense of travel down the mountain.
Advanced skiers should focus on the sportier sections, especially early in the day when the grooming is at its best. The vertical drop gives these runs a more rewarding feel.
Families and beginners can still enjoy the area, but piste choice matters. Horní Domky has a more athletic character, so it is worth starting on manageable sections and building up gradually.
The setting adds a lot to the skiing. Forested sections, more open slopes and views across the Krkonoše give the area a real mountain atmosphere, especially on clear winter days.
