As a veteran (well over 65) beginner, this was my first experience of proper piste skiing in Poland. This is a beautiful area with stunning views and the whole area contains various, often quite different runs. Szymoszkova is well organised, well maintained with excellent ski lifts. The terrain is sufficiently varied for a relatively inexperienced skier. The price is excellent compared with most other EU alpine areas. Recommended for beginning skiers.... Full Review

The owners in order to maximise the profit neglect safety. Nobody from the staff including instructors takes care of the order on the slope . People with small children (even with prams) wander happily between skiers. On the approach to the lifts total chaos reigns. The skiers step on one another skis and manoeuvre dangerously with the poles frantically trying to get to the lift first. The restaurants at the entrance (attention -close often before the lift stops) serve alcohol and quite often one can meet the drunken skiers on the slope. That is a pity that there is no culture of safety because the people working there are generally very friendly and bravely endure the worst weather and other adverse conditions, including unruly clients. The ski hire is often very crowded and the small shop I would recommend to avoid entirely. There is no such thing as replacement of the faulty merchandise, only "repairs", for which you wait for weeks while you have to buy replacement at your cost, preferably somewhere else.... Full Review
