A fairly large ski area where the overall snow cover is much better than in the village.
No lift lines.
Fast and friendly.
Very close to Grenoble.

This is my favorite resort. Slopes for all levels, and the staff are always friendly.
The scenery is stunning.
The lifts are a bit old, but that's part of the resort's charm. It's crowded at the base, but the flow on the slopes is excellent. A great family resort just a stone's throw from Grenoble. We must support them through this difficult time.

Alpe du Grand Serre is an extraordinary resort. The setting is breathtaking, the staff very friendly and often funny. The instructors are excellent; they teach children in an ideal environment thanks to very wide slopes with well-distributed traffic. Even on busy days, the slopes still feel relatively empty. I love it, and I'm going back this winter with friends and family. It's in my top 3 favorite resorts in France and my top 5 worldwide.

A great compromise for this resort, which covers about 50 km and boasts breathtaking views. Ideal for families and ski touring enthusiasts!
The ESF instructors are fantastic with children.

Une très belle station familiale avec des pistes variés et pour tout les niveaux ! De super belles pistes très bien entretenue , un personnel très accueillant et toujours un beau soleil . Cette station familiale propose de très belles activités ( ex : ouvrir les pistes avec les pisteurs ou encore damer avec les dameurs ). Avec ses 55Km de piste , elle a tout pour plaire… je vous la conseille vivement car il y a pas trop trop de monde et donc jamais trop d’attente . Agréable !!!

L'Alpe du Grand Serre est une station magnifique adaptée les niveaux (les plus aguerris trouveront leur compte sur la Roue ou le Rif, ou en hors-piste le long de l'Ollière), bien loin des gigantesques stations, avec un personnel très aimable et compétent. Le seul bémol concerne les installations qui commencent à vieillir (unique investissement depuis la fin des années 80: la rallongement du télésiège du Serriou). Cependant la station vaut évidemment d'être visitée!
