Les 2 Alpes features an impressively diverse terrain, accommodating all skill levels. At the core of the resort lies the Glacier du Mont de Lans, one of Europe’s highest skiable glaciers, providing reliable snow and long, gentle slopes well-suited to beginners and intermediates. Accessible by an underground funicular and drag lifts, the glacier offers uninterrupted skiing, including the longest run in the resort—a 16 km descent leading to the village of Mont-de-Lans.

Beginners benefit from the well-designed area at Les Crêtes, offering wide, gentle slopes conveniently located near the village. Several nursery lifts are free to use, and clear signage ensures a safe and enjoyable learning experience. Above these beginner zones, progression is natural, with open blue pistes encouraging skill development in an accessible high-altitude setting.

Intermediate skiers are particularly well served, with red pistes making up a significant portion of the terrain. The glacier and mid-mountain area of Toura provide fast, enjoyable descents, with generally excellent snow conditions due to the resort’s north-facing slopes. The vertical drop of 2,300 metres allows for long runs, ensuring a rewarding experience for those looking to refine their technique.

Advanced and expert skiers will find challenges in areas such as Bellecombes and the notorious black piste accessed via the Super Diable chairlift. Les 2 Alpes also offers access to La Grave, a renowned freeride-only zone famed for its rugged, unmarked terrain, which can be accessed with a six-day lift pass. With 18% of pistes classified as advanced and 11% designated for experts, the resort maintains an adventurous appeal for experienced skiers.

Freestyle enthusiasts can take advantage of one of the Alps’ best snowparks, located in the Toura sector. Designed with input from professional riders, it features jumps, rails, boxes, and a half-pipe, catering to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Between its well-groomed pistes, expansive off-piste options, and exceptional freestyle facilities, Les 2 Alpes delivers a compelling mix of terrain diversity and quality snow conditions.
