A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Beautiful ski area and excellent lifts, but the parking reception is deplorable!
The ski area: From a skiing perspective, it's flawless. The area is vast and the infrastructure (lifts/ski passes) is modern and very fast, which minimizes waiting times. It's an ideal resort for families with children or anyone who isn't very good at navigating: the layout of the slopes makes it virtually impossible to get lost or accidentally ski down the wrong side. You can enjoy the glacier in complete safety. The shopkeepers are also very friendly and welcoming.
The downside (Parking and Municipal Police): A major drawback, however, is the parking management, which spoils the stay. We arrived on Saturday in the 1800 sector (below the Meije apartments), and the parking meter was out of order. On Sunday, it was still broken (photos attached). At the end of the day, I had the unpleasant surprise of finding a parking ticket on my windshield, just like all my neighbors in the parking lot.
When I contacted the Tourist Office to find out how to pay despite the malfunction, I was redirected to the municipal police. They simply told me to go to the other end of the parking lot or use a mobile app. I find this method deeply dishonest: issuing mass parking tickets to an entire neighborhood when the station's equipment is faulty. To rectify the situation, we're also forced to pay for a full week's parking (7 days) even though we only have 5 days of vacation left.
I tried to share this experience on a local Facebook group to warn other vacationers: my post was deleted after 70 comments from people describing the same situation. Clearly, the station prefers to censor dissatisfied customers rather than repair its parking meters. It's a shame that the administration doesn't live up to the quality of the ski area.

The resort could be better. The lifts weren't up to scratch for the price, except for Jandry where they put all their money. The groomed slopes were poor.

A soulless resort. No decent après-ski activities whatsoever. Just ski rental shops and food outlets. For the Christmas holidays. Misleading advertising: the program advertises a Christmas village with a beautiful, promising photo of chalets; in the end, there were only three chalets belonging to local associations. On the 24th, they advertised street entertainment with a lovely photo of illuminated figures, plus a choir singing Christmas carols, and so on; in the end, there were two singers, a Santa Claus with his elves, a magician, an old man who frightened the children more than anything else, and some jugglers. One hour of activity with four street performances, then nothing. Oh yes, and be prepared for the exorbitant €80 parking fee, mandatory for the week—the tourist office's argument to get people to take the bus to the village! What's the point? You don't need to pay for parking to use the shuttle buses. Never again Les Deux Alpes.

A beautiful, lively resort that my children love, yet it remains very family-friendly, with plenty of shops to suit everyone, from delicious pizzerias to Michelin-starred restaurants that are a real treat. The ski area is truly fantastic, with numerous slopes, access to the glacier for beginner/intermediate skiers, and a wide range of activities besides skiing. It's also a great summer resort for mountain biking, but above all, for our enjoyment, hiking and trail running. There's so much more to say, but we're big fans.

This ski resort is truly the best I've ever been to. The show park is fantastic with its varying levels of difficulty, the ski area is quite large, and with the new gondolas, you can reach the summit in just 10 minutes. The village is beautiful at night with its shops and restaurants. A special mention goes to my two favorite runs: Valentin and the black Belcombe.

A top-notch resort in both winter and summer, with accommodations close to the slopes, excellent quality of the pistes, a vast ski area, and also the bar Chez Boris. Special mention goes to Les Flocons d'Or and its breathtaking view of the Muzelle.

Went once, and came back next year, this should tell everything

Well-oriented slopes that allow skiing when many resorts have run out of snow. Maximum altitude 3600m!

The resort is very boring; you quickly see everything. The day pass is too expensive for what you get...

First time in February 2025! We'll be back because we loved the authenticity of the resort and there's plenty to do for a week's holiday!
