Overall, the area is fantastic, but there's a major drawback: the villages are deserted in the late afternoon, with very few restaurants for the number of vacationers!

  • Large ski area for all levels
  • Parking spaces not proportional to the number of vehicles!!! How is this possible!!??

The ski area is vast, but I've rarely seen such poor quality slopes, never groomed. The resort is full of reckless young skiers who pay absolutely no attention; I wouldn't recommend it for beginners or families. I'm a bit disappointed; I was here 10 years ago and I think the quality has declined.

  • Large estate
  • Unmaintained tracks

The Les Arcs resort is one of the best in the Alps. It caters to all levels of skiers, from children to adults. Those wanting to learn to ski will find what they're looking for, as will those wanting to ski more and have fun. The charming villages are sure to delight visitors of all ages in this snowy landscape. Furthermore, Les Arcs is particularly accessible thanks to the TGV train station, the funicular, and the shuttle buses. Another major advantage of this resort is its family-friendly atmosphere, making it ideal for welcoming and enjoying a wonderful time with families.

  • Very large ski area, family-friendly resort, easily accessible via TGV + funicular
  • The difference between the different villages

attracts younger skiers and boarders who ski without control and consideration. Not good for beginners but they still go. Many slopes turn quickly to hard pack, with mixed skiing abilities and overcrowded - so can be precarious. needs a constant topping up of fresh snow to stay in decent condition. poorly groomed in comparison to their peers in the Tarantaise. Nice selection of restaurants and bars, both in town and on the slopes. charge extra for a 'fast lane' because capacity doesn't match the volume of skiers. Pay the premium or expect queues at key lifts. Not a patch on Tignes or the 3 vallees. Ski hire is poor quality - much older skis that would be normal - not always well maintained.

  • vast ski area, nice mountain stops,
  • overcrowded, poorly groomed, some slow lifts, snow doesn't last

It's a beautiful resort with a superb, high-quality ski area. There's something for everyone, young and old. Access is easy by public transport and car; the roads are well-maintained, and the funicular railway and proximity to Bourg-Saint-Maurice mean you'll find all the shops and services you need nearby. There's something for everyone, whether you're a skier, snowboarder, or simply a winter mountain enthusiast. I highly recommend it.

  • Access is very easy, either by train or via the funicular. It's also easy to get off at Bourg St Maurice, which offers all the necessary shops.
  • There could be more mountain restaurants on the slopes…

The Les Arcs ski area offers a wide variety of slopes for all levels. The best thing about the area is the sunshine all day long: skiing in Arc 2000 in the morning and towards Arc 1600 and 1800 in the afternoon. The link to La Plagne allows you to enjoy a larger ski area and discover new slopes. Finally, the icing on the cake is the breathtaking view of Mont Blanc, which provides perfect photo opportunities.

  • A wide variety of slopes for all levels, mountain restaurants

  • The resort is very well served by public transport. The signage is excellent.
  • Some poorly groomed tracks

In my opinion, one of the best resorts in the Alps. First of all, it's very easy to get to, being directly connected to Bourg Saint Maurice (TGV station) via the funicular. Secondly, the resort is very large, at a high altitude (up to 3200m!), and has several villages, each with its own special atmosphere. My favorite is still 1800, for its lively atmosphere and après-ski scene! The slopes are fantastic, with a special mention for the Aiguille Rouge. Finally, there's something for everyone in terms of thrills: wide, open runs, challenging and technical slopes… I love it!!

  • A very large ski area with the possibility of reaching La Plagne. No car required, with direct access to the TGV high-speed train via the funicular and Bourg Saint Maurice. A wide range of après-ski options.
  • There are relatively few options for non-skiers; there are a few hiking trails starting from the resort, but it is primarily ski-oriented.
