Total (3.6)
A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
The resort of Les Carroz, located in the Grand Massif ski area, offers a good balance between Savoyard authenticity and modern amenities.
Les Carroz charms visitors with its family-friendly atmosphere, varied ski terrain, and welcoming ambiance. It's an ideal destination for families, beginners, and intermediate skiers looking for a peaceful and accessible setting. Partygoers or thrill-seekers might find the options somewhat limited, but for a rejuvenating and authentic stay, the resort ticks all the essential boxes.

A resort for all levels, very well connected to the Grand Massif. A lively and family-friendly resort. Great holidays every year for us.

Grand Massif is a great ski resort. For me, as a non-professional skier, it offers a lot of variety.

A family-friendly resort conveniently located between Geneva and Chamonix

Nine years already in Les Carroz and nine more to come...

Constant overcrowding of skiers at the base of the resort, only one gondola lift. Passes for other major resorts are not compatible. Huge queues at the ticket offices, few available.

My ski pass didn't work, and the customer service was useless and disrespectful! My pass didn't work all day, which left us stuck at every turnstile and caused a considerable waste of time. We went back to the ticket offices in Les Carroz twice to resolve the issue, but nothing changed. The ticket offices offered no apologies, and the employees on the slopes were extremely unpleasant. We were stuck for several dozen minutes because some refused to open the gates for us, claiming it wasn't "their job." This included the woman who has been working at the Les Carroz gondola gates for years, who was disrespectful, yelling at us and calling us thieves in front of everyone. I requested compensation and an apology from customer service (experience@skilescarroz.com). They replied that my pass was working "perfectly" and offered no apology or comment on the employees' behavior. After several follow-ups, I never received a response. So if you expect decent customer service for the price you're paying (€57 per day), definitely don't go to this station because for them, a pass that works "very well" is one where you get stuck at every turnstile! It's a great station if you don't have any technical problems with your pass.
