A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
No more cinema in the center, which was one of the pleasures of the stay. Even on the slopes, some small chalets have started selling omelets for €30... but the ski area remains magical and accessible for beginners. There are fir trees everywhere; it's simply BEAUTIFUL.

Excellent resort, accessible to all with views of Mont Blanc. Lively village with a good selection of shops and restaurants.

Megeve, more specifically Rochebrune, is super familiar ski area with lots of green and blue slopes perfect for the little ones. Unfortunately during mornings it has the mountain shadow and the snow can be quite icy, but as the day goes by it gets only better.

An ideal family resort, the village of Megève looks like it's straight out of a Christmas movie, especially when the snow is falling, with its horse-drawn carriages and clothing shops, each more beautiful than the last. We love strolling around after skiing. Numerous cozy restaurants welcome you with the famous tartiflettes and cheese fondues that are part of the local scene. It's hard to leave Megève once you've experienced it. Long live Megève!

Beginning of our week stay they closed the closest part of the mountain to our hotel and we were able to use the princesses lift for two days on a 30 minute bus in very bad conditions, then 4 days in we arrived at the same chair and went up the mountain to every single run closed, wasting our time and money with their ignorance, any other resort would have even a single run open within an hour of our hotel open but I assume their ignorance can’t let them let us know nothing is open before we spent 20 minutes on a lift just to do nothing. This is the single worst skiing resort I’ve experienced in decades, the town is very nice with good restaurants and facilities but when the sole reason of your trip is to ski and you can’t do that it is just extremely disappointing.

A very large and pleasant resort with plenty of wide pistes, off-piste areas, and fir trees. A festive and joyful atmosphere. Excellent value for money.

All levels welcome, from experts to beginners.
Magical scenery.

A resort I've loved since I was little, close to home. Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow this year, so at 1200m it was difficult to ski everywhere.
But the après-ski is so enjoyable that you forget about the lack of snow. Plus, there are plenty of activities offered in the village and sports center to compensate for the lack of snow and ensure you can still have a great time.
It's perfect for a weekend or a longer holiday.

Charming village, but reserved for a very, very wealthy clientele... Unfortunately, the ski area is very disappointing for good skiers (poor snow cover, 50% of the slopes closed, outdated lifts, no connection between the different areas).
It seems to me that the investments are only focused on the village itself, with no comparison to the major ski areas (3 Valleys, Val d'Isère, etc.). It's a shame, it's clearly underutilized... Personally, I won't be going back.

Beautiful resort. Charming village and lovely, wooded grounds.
