A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Borosport, the company that runs the ski infrastructure stated that the ski season will run until the 7th of April 2024. We arranged our ski holiday from 1- 7th of April. Bought weekly ski tickets and rented ski equipment. Borosport then decided to stop running everything on the 3rd is April without any refund for the tickets or allowing any skiers to use the gondola as the only thing running. They blamed it on the warm weather but we skied on the 2nd and there was plenty of snow. So have stayed for 4 days without skiing paying the premium.
No option for refund, non existing customer service and disinterested staff from Borosport to help in any way.

Excellent ski resort with 6 ways to get up the slopes from the base of resort, because of this queues are always reasonable, when you go up on gondela you have a further choice of 5 more lifts to keep you active on the upper mountain, there is even a green slope which is wide and excellent for beginners at the top, and you can get of the mountain the gondela.
Plenty of restaurants and bars to chose from, catering for all ages, the resort is changing constantly and improveing every year, it will only get better, also there is not much difference on price at the top of the mountain so you won't get ripped of if you want a coffee on the mountain side returants

Only partly open, but a couple v challenging runs off the gondola. Plenty of good, long terrain here for hard chargers. Night life is partying brit kids, awful, but one neat spot at the top of the third tow. V Bulgarian, worth a look. Also, cheap! Full advanced rental and day ticket for less than 40 bucks! (Used Iceking, Vasko is the happiest Bulgarian I met on my trip! Great skis, service, and prices.)

Really recommend this ski resort! One of the best value for money ski resorts you can go too. Conditions have been great most of the times we have been and we have been a good few times! Cheap ski pass and meals and food is really cheap. Great place to learn for people who have just started. Going back again!

My experience in Borovets was better than i could ever have imagined. Everything was so easy, and everyone was so kind! I even got welcomed by a packed lunch at the Rila Hotel (as i arrived too late for dinner). The food there was brilliant! Anyway, the main part of the holiday, the skiing, was perfect! Loads of snow! And thanks to the brilliant instructor Ivo Djadjev, my technique and confidence improved hugely!! For the whole 6 days of ski school he was so kind, and made sure that everyone in the group was happy and safe. He would even stay out with us for later than he had, helping us improve and just make the most of the perfect conditions!
Lovely, friendly place. Can't wait to go again!

Been here 7 times over 3 years now ( as well as France) mainly for the children (now 8 and 5 to learn).
Great place to find your ski legs and try out/learn but piste's are poorly maintained and often dangerous over crowded/ icy, even for advanced skiers.
Never been there when all runs have been open and been in Dec/Jan/Feb and March.
Limited for advanced skiers.
Prices slowly creeping up to other european resorts which will make it not worth bothering with eventually given the very basic accommodation as its more "Weatherspoons then St Tropez". Get in now before its too late.
Locals happy and smiley as long as your spending be to be expected I suppose.
