Willingen offers long slopes (almost 2 km long) especially for more experienced skiers, and waiting times are manageable thanks to the predominantly modern lifts (with the exception of the Sonnenlift).
Most slopes are challenging red in the middle section and quite demanding for beginners. The Dorfwiese practice lifts and the Ritzhagen area are best for beginners.
There is a good selection of restaurants in the ski area and an après-ski scene that rivals any alpine hotspot.
