My wife and I have been skiing in Polish ski resorts for years, and we've never seen such a dismissive attitude from the facility manager as in Szczyrk! The potential is incredible, but so what? The trails, if they're even open at all (well, 5 out of 15), are miraculously unsnowed, ungroomed, downright dangerous in places, poorly and illegibly marked, with misleading difficulty levels, and the highest ticket prices in Poland! We definitely don't recommend them!
Large selection of routes, location....
Trail Preparation: Problems with moguls, ice, and rocks, especially on some sections, sometimes with no snow on the approach. Prices: High ticket and catering prices often raise concerns. Crowds and Queues: Long queues, especially during peak season.

The resort has enormous potential. The trails on the Szczyrk Mountain Resort side are very well prepared, but COS Szczyrk is a disaster. Some trails should be closed (they're dangerous, with holes, rocks, and dirt). Furthermore, getting from Skrzyczne to Hala Skrzyczeńska is a disaster. Is building metal stairs to Szkrzyczne really such a huge expense? How is a skier supposed to safely climb that "hill" to descend to Hala Skrzyczeńska? You're building a modern chairlift to Skrzyczne for several million, and you can't even create an approach for skiers to Skrzyczne. A shared ski pass is a sham; anyone who has once gone to Skrzyczne and "tasted" the food on the COS side will never want to go back. Another issue is the lack of traffic management when leaving the parking lot at 4 p.m. It doesn't take much. You could either turn off the lights and direct traffic at the intersection, or appoint someone to direct traffic and improve the process. This is a free-for-all, and driving 4 km down Salmopolska Street to the roundabout takes about 1.5 hours. This could definitely be improved, and there's no need to immediately build large parking lots. If an ambulance can get through this traffic jam, it means the problem isn't the road width, but rather the traffic management on Salmopolska Street. Dear residents and property owners, it's time to address this issue.
Various routes, views, and gastronomic offerings
dangerous and neglected routes on the COS Szczyrk side, lack of traffic organization

The trail isn't groomed for evening skiing. The bumps are knee-deep. I don't recommend it. The price is outrageous, even for a well-groomed trail (there's only one).
A well-made advertisement for the resort, tempting with the number of trails
The reality of night driving has nothing to do with advertising.

The resort is nice, with many slopes and a pub on the slope, but the only thing that ruins it all is the single road. The 3km drive from Solisko to the center after the lifts close can take three hours. It's a traffic nightmare.
Trails prepared despite the mild winter
Not all routes are open, there is a huge mess when arriving and returning, one road is constantly jammed, traffic paralysis,

A drama in three acts. Stayed January 1st - January 5th, 2026. Skiing for me is supposed to be a relaxing experience, but unfortunately, it was a complete surprise. Waiting for the lift was an average of 25 minutes. Crowds lined up for the lift, crowds on the slopes, crowds in the pubs, and massive traffic jams on the way back. If that's your thing, this would be the perfect place for you. The drive back to our accommodation, located 5.5 km away, took us about two hours. It's not that expensive, but I just want to ski. In Szczyrk, there are more queues than skis. In my opinion, it even surpasses Białka many times over :-) Never again.
Long routes and a combination of several slopes
Queues for the lifts, huge exit traffic jams (5 km - 2 h), crowds on the slopes and the impossibility of normal skiing, fear for children in the crowds on the slopes.

I don't recommend it. First and last time. I should add that I've been to all of them in Poland.
Nice views from Zbójnicka Kopa
Other than that, only negatives. The worst resort in Poland. First of all, the lady at the ticket office didn't inform me that the lifts were only open until 4 p.m., and at 1 p.m., she thoughtlessly sold us 4-hour passes. Terrible information, no maps. Long queues. The price of the pass.

Compared to a dozen years ago, it's better in terms of the slopes, modernized lifts, and that's about it. Full-day passes of almost 300 PLN are a disgrace; in other resorts in Poland, they're less than 200 PLN. The rocks on the slope are still there, the queues are too long, and there are no signs indicating closed runs. When you get to the lift about 200 meters from the bottom, there's no snow and no signs, so you either have to ski in the mud or ski on your frame. Prices in the bars are way too high. For this price, it should be better than anywhere else. I won't be back.

Beautiful ski area with well-maintained slopes of various levels of difficulty. Only two things were missing for me to be completely satisfied, the terrible gravel parking lot and the incredible queues of cars after skiing. The queues probably can't be influenced, but the parking lot could definitely be improved. Otherwise, I definitely recommend a visit to the area.

You can definitely enjoy yourself in Szczyrk, but the condition of some of the accommodations and rooms still leaves much to be desired, and you might end up getting ripped off. For example, the VacationClub building at 2 Salmopolska Street is a renovated shack. The windows are old and the wind blows through them, and in our room no. 6 in February 2025, the stench from the bathroom drain was so unbearable. We had to leave after just one night. It's a tragedy! They charged us 364 PLN for just one night in a double room, just like in a hotel. They even added cleaning costs... Avoid VacationClubs everywhere. They're clearly scammers trying to sell you crap for a fortune.
At the moment, probably the best ski resort in the Beskids.
Be careful about the quality of accommodation/rooms, as there are expensive ones of poor quality.
