Well-maintained and very varied slopes, few crowds, the only flaw is some dated facilities.

I'm delighted with the package, which is free for people with disabilities. I'll be back next year.

SCV is a fantastic resort. The ski area is vast, varied, and offers breathtaking views. With generally abundant sunshine and a friendly atmosphere, everything is in place for an unforgettable experience. A special mention goes to the Combes chairlift staff! Always welcoming and professional. Their chairlift management is impeccable, smooth, and efficient. It's a real pleasure to ski here, and a big thank you to the entire team who contribute to making your stay even more enjoyable.

Personally, I love living in Chantemerle for its sporty atmosphere, the nearby shops, and the entertainment, but for skiing I often go elsewhere, partly because of the exorbitant prices: for 60 euros as a senior, Alpe d'Huez is a completely different experience with its glacier at 3000 meters, comfortable chairlifts with wind protection options. Or Montgenèvre with a 45 euro senior pass and the added bonus of friendly and smiling staff, which isn't the case for some fixed-grip chairlifts like Aiguillette or Yret where you get literally insulted if you call them from their booth.
Beautiful estate among the larch trees, rarely foggy
Resort staff are often jaded, lazy if you ask for help, or unpleasant. The price is comparable to Alpe d'Huez or Les Deux Alpes, which offer access to the 3000 glacier, comfortable chairlifts, and optional wind protection instead of some other resorts.

I really recommend everyone go there
good off-piste level

The resort is magnificent, but there are huge shortcomings in its management. The beginner areas are insignificant given their number. The shuttle buses are not free and are rarely on time. The chairlift queues are poorly organized, the boarding areas are too small, and the waiting line is complete chaos. It's a shame because the resort itself is superb, and the ski area is excellent. Considering the price paid, I would put it on the list of resorts to avoid for those on a tight budget, and for everyone else, don't forget your car.
The inter-station bus connection is deplorable.

Family resort, great facilities!

A vast ski area where a single day isn't enough to explore everything, even skiing at full speed for over six hours. The area offers a variety of slopes and off-piste terrain for all levels. The resort has an app that allows you to track your location and navigate the area at all times. It also lets you retrace your day's route, which is really great.
A vast ski area for all levels
Some of the chairlifts are old and slow.

Serre Chevalier is a splendid, fairly decentralized resort with an impressive range of slopes for all levels. The Écrins mountains are breathtaking, and the villages are welcoming and human-scale. I love it.
