Good resort overall with plenty of snow and slopes

During my stay in La Foux d’Allos, I discovered a resort that perfectly blends nature, a friendly atmosphere, and enjoyment for all levels of skiers. Located in the heart of the Southern Alps, Espace Lumière is an exceptional ski area that fully deserves its reputation. Here’s why this resort should be on your list of future destinations:
Slopes for all tastes
With its 230 km of varied slopes, Espace Lumière offers an unforgettable skiing experience. Whether you’re a beginner, a fan of panoramic blue runs, or a thrill-seeker on technical black runs, there’s something for everyone. The connection to Pra Loup allows you to explore even more slopes and scenery, while avoiding monotony. Special mention goes to the wide, well-groomed slopes, ideal for families or for perfecting your technique.
A breathtaking natural setting
La Foux d’Allos is nestled in a haven of unspoiled mountains, offering sublime panoramas on every descent. The unique light of the Southern Alps highlights postcard-perfect snow-covered landscapes, especially at sunrise and sunset. Relaxing on the high-altitude terraces allows you to savor this spectacle while enjoying a hot chocolate or a local dish.
Activities for everyone
Even off the slopes, the resort offers a wealth of activities: snowshoeing in the snow-covered forests, sledding for children, or relaxing moments at the spa. For non-skiers or those who enjoy socializing, the shops and restaurants offer a wide variety of options, including local specialties like fondue and tourtons (a type of savory pastry). All this in a warm and welcoming atmosphere!
Impeccable service and quality facilities
The resort is impeccably organized. The ski lifts are modern and efficient, significantly reducing waiting times, even during peak season. The staff is always smiling and available to answer any questions, contributing to a stress-free experience. Moreover, the proximity of the accommodations to the slopes is a real advantage: you can ski right from your doorstep!
In short, La Foux d’Allos – Espace Lumière is a resort distinguished by its welcoming atmosphere, its diverse ski area, and its breathtaking scenery. Whether you're looking for thrills, relaxing moments with your family, or simply a peaceful escape in the heart of the mountains, this destination will meet all your expectations. I have unforgettable memories of it and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all mountain lovers.
A stay in La Foux d’Allos is not just an adventure: it's a true immersion in the magic of the Alps. An experience to be lived, and relived!

Family resort. Other activities include the Duval toboggan run, cinema, ice skating rink...

We had a great time at the resort. A solution needs to be found for beginners so they aren't put on overly technical slopes and endanger others.
I know many areas, but I really appreciated these vast wild spaces between Ubaye and Verdon.

Great family-friendly and affordable resort

A resort that has managed to avoid large concrete complexes, thus retaining the charm of small wooden buildings. There's a large beginner area with magic carpets for the lifts and a small, easily accessible chairlift.
For intermediate skiers, the blue runs are limited and sometimes borderline red. There are plenty of red runs and off-piste opportunities. A good restaurant and bar are perfect for après-ski (often packed during the holidays). There are also many children's play areas, a cinema, and an ice rink.
