Železná Ruda is a town located 40 km south of Klatov, near the border with Germany. It is the largest recreation center of west Šumava. In the ski resort Belvedere, Železná Ruda skiing is possible on slopes of Belvedere, Samota and Nad Nádražím. There is also a snowpark. The slopes daily prepared.
