This is a most beautiful scenic resort with excellent restaurants and very good standard ski hire. we were victims of an unseasonably poor start to the ski season and endured a green Christmas 2014. We were only able to ski for two days in the week and even when it snowed the resort was not fully open for a day as the snow needed to be compacted. There wasn't enough information on which lifts would be opened. We wrongly chose to travel by public transport which was a mistake as we were trapped when the snow failed to come. A perfect compact resort in good conditions. we loved the food. Ended up walking almost a mile to the only decent open run. Saturday queues into surrounding major roads are also a problem It has a great historic snow record, but wasn't set up to cope with no snow. Do I dare go back. Only last minute. The restaurateurs are lovely. Mostly Dutch skiers the week we were there. Still trying to get the grass stains out of our gear.... Full Review

Nice skiing area which is ideal for families and beginners. This area is very close to the boarder of Germany. The slopes are on the easier side because the mountains are not so steep and rough like most of the Tyrolean mountains. But the area is very beautiful. There are many lakes and in winter there is normally a lot of snow. Most of the slopes are red and blue because of that ideal for families and beginners. Also the runs are quiet bride what makes skiing comfortable. The skiing area is close to Reutte where you can go shopping or you can go to some of the bars and restaurants in this village. The area is also nice for walking skiing and toboggan. ... Full Review

For the past 14 years my wife and I have been skiing in Berwang. We have found it to be very friendly. The choices for eating a delight, the prices are very reasonable. The skiing is good but it is the atmosphere, beautiful scenery with mountains surrounding the village, the friendliness and outstanding places to eat make coming here an easy choice along with very reasonable prices. It is our most favorite place in the world to visit. Last year we came for 8 weeks. Mitchell Kot USA... Full Review

I have been visiting Berwang with my family on and off for nearly 20 years. The resort is very picturesque, friendly and has just enough pistes for a short break. Lift queues are almost non existent which is always a big plus! Generally a quiet little resort, but there is plenty of apres ski arranged by the various hotels around the village. I'm going again in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. ... Full Review

Just returned from Berwang and it was great, Beautiful little town, This resort has only been open for 2 seasons and will be a place to be reckoned with in a couple of years so go now while it is still small and quiet. The locals don't speak much English but genuinely want everyone to have a great time, Austria is a little bit expensive but worth it for the good skiing. ... Full Review
