Hopfgarten im Brixental - SkiWelt Piste Map
The terrain at Hopfgarten im Brixental - SkiWelt is centred on Hohe Salve, reached directly from the village by the Salvenbahn. From there, skiers can link into SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, with 275 km of pistes, a base around 620 m, a summit height of 1,869 m and a vertical drop of up to 1,249 m.
Beginners and families are well catered for around Hopfgarten, especially with the wide beginners’ slope near the valley station. This makes the first part of the day simple for children, cautious skiers and anyone building confidence.
Intermediate skiers should spend time around Foisching and Schernthanner. These areas offer plenty of red pistes, good width and the kind of gradient that rewards smooth, controlled turns.
Advanced skiers should head for the black Südhang piste from Hohe Salve early in the morning. It is one of Hopfgarten’s strongest official recommendations for sporty skiers and is best when freshly groomed.
Across the wider SkiWelt, the terrain expands into a large linked network with fun parks, long valley descents, family attractions and varied lift types. Hopfgarten works well as a base because it offers both local skiing and easy access to the broader area.
The setting is a major part of the appeal. Hohe Salve is known for its panoramic position, with views across the Kitzbühel Alps, Wilder Kaiser and surrounding peaks, adding a strong scenic element to a day on the pistes.
