I really enjoyed Kuhtai.
It's an hour by (free) bus from Innsbruck(great for a sleep on the way back).
High altitude,varied terrain,no crowds.
What's not to like about it!!!
Very beautiful sunny area. It is about 2000m above the sea therefore you will find there very good snow conditions in the winter season. The slopes are very wide and pretty long. Most of them are red some black ones and only a few blue slopes you will find. The Kühtai is also very good for freeriding and touring. There are some beginner tours and very difficult ones which go above 3000meters.
Additionally the area also has a good funpark. A park for beginners and better ones. For party you do not have a big choice. There are some places but normally not much ongoing there. You can also do skating, bobsleighing and nightskiing, therefore you won´t get bored after one week on holiday.
I would really recommend this area to everyone except to those who want to party hard. The Kühtai is a very comfortable area.
Great family resort. Different runs for different ski levels. Good villages on outskirts where flats are easily rentable for reasonable price. M Preis supermarket before you go up the mountain. Reasonably priced restaurants and ski shops. Good place for first time skiers, families and those that want a quiet ski holiday
