Lech Zürs is renowned for its expansive and varied terrain, spread across 301 kilometres of interconnected pistes. The heart of Lech offers gentle, open slopes ideal for beginners and families, with areas such as Schlegelkopf providing wide, confidence-building pistes and easy lift access from the village centre. For those progressing from beginner to intermediate, the region of Oberlech presents rolling slopes with plenty of opportunities for cruising and enjoying the stunning alpine views.

Intermediate skiers will relish the extensive blue and red pistes across Lech, Zürs, and into the linked areas of Warth and Schröcken. Routes such as the Madloch circuit and the panoramic runs from Kriegerhorn provide memorable descents with breathtaking backdrops. The ski area also offers a selection of long descents, including a standout 9-kilometre piste from Rüfikopf to Zürs, perfect for those seeking to cover distance and enjoy the area’s full vertical drop of 1,507 metres.

Advanced skiers can test their skills on the steeper red and black pistes above Zürs and Zug, with the challenging routes around the Muggengrat and Hexenboden lifts offering technical descents and high-altitude skiing. The terrain is complemented by six snow parks, adding a playful side to the mountain for freestyle enthusiasts.

For expert skiers, the off-piste itineraries accessible from the lifts open up a world of adventure, with renowned routes such as the Stierloch descent offering demanding conditions and unforgettable powder days. Although safety equipment and local guides are essential for these areas, they provide a thrilling aspect to the Lech Zürs experience for capable skiers.

The mountain’s scenery, with its sweeping ridges, towering peaks, and quiet alpine bowls, adds to the magic of the skiing experience. Whether taking in the sunrise from atop Rüfikopf or enjoying the wide, sun-drenched pistes of Oberlech, the natural beauty of Lech Zürs is as much a highlight as the quality of the skiing itself.
