I had a completely great experience at this resort because of how my instructor Oscar conducted himself . I am part of a selected group that have never put skis on before. I came on a school trip and it was one of the best experience of my life We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor than Oscar. From the very first morning, he made us feel at ease and welcomed. He’s incredibly warm and approachable, and somehow, he made a group of total beginners feel like we were in safe hands right from the start. None of us had ever skied before — we were truly starting from scratch. There were plenty of wobbly moments (and a few laughs at our own expense), but Oscar was endlessly patient. He never rushed anyone, never made anyone feel embarrassed, and always took the time to explain things in a way that really clicked. If someone was having a tough time, he’d quietly work with them until it made sense, and when one of us succeeded, he celebrated it like it was a monumental achievement. What’s amazing is that after just five days, we managed to ski a red run. At the beginning of the week, that seemed completely out of reach. Oscar built our confidence step by step and helped us learn to trust ourselves. He believed we could do it even before we did — and that made all the difference.He didn’t just teach us how to ski; he turned the whole week into a positive, fun experience. Lift pass prices vary from day to day and are never displayed. On the plus side: attractive rates for seniors. On the downside: limited accommodation at the foot of the slopes, and few beginner slopes in the heart of the resorts. Otherwise, fantastic skiing.

Positive points: * Huge ski area: With over 210 km of slopes, Grandvalira is the largest resort in the Pyrenees. There's something for everyone and every level, from beginners to experts. * Modern facilities: The ski lifts are modern and efficient, which minimizes waiting times. * Excellent snow conditions: Thanks to the altitude and a high-performance snowmaking system, snow cover is generally good throughout the season. * Wide range of activities: In addition to skiing, Grandvalira offers numerous off-slope activities: snowshoeing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, snow biking, etc. * Lively atmosphere: The après-ski scene is vibrant, with numerous bars and restaurants. * Shopping: Andorra is a paradise for duty-free shopping. Negative points: * Price: Grandvalira is a fairly expensive resort, whether for lift passes, accommodation, or food. * Crowds: In peak season, the resort can get very crowded, especially at the ski lifts. * Lack of charm: Some areas of the resort lack charm and feel more like tourist complexes than authentic mountain villages. Tips: * If you're a beginner, choose the gentler slopes of Soldeu or El Tarter. * If you're an experienced skier, you'll appreciate the slopes of Grau Roig or Pas de la Casa. * Don't hesitate to try off-slope activities like dog sledding or snowmobiling. * Take advantage of your stay to do some shopping; prices are good in Andorra. In conclusion, Grandvalira is an excellent ski resort, offering a vast and varied ski area, modern facilities, and numerous activities. However, it is quite expensive and can get very crowded in peak season.

My day at Grandvalira was a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the sheer size of the ski area and the quality of the facilities. The views of the snow-covered mountains were simply breathtaking. The slopes are incredibly varied and well-groomed. I started with blue runs to warm up, and quickly moved on to more challenging reds. The snow conditions were excellent, with powder in the higher areas, perfect for a smooth ride. The lifts are fast and modern, and there was virtually no waiting, allowing me to fully enjoy my day. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, both lively and relaxed, with plenty of skiers and snowboarders on the slopes, but without feeling crowded. After a morning of skiing, I took a break at one of the mountain restaurants, where I enjoyed a delicious meal with a stunning view. In the afternoon, I explored a bit further and tried out a snowpark. The area was well laid out, with features for all levels. I loved this part of the day; it was a real pleasure to try a few tricks. Finally, I took some time to relax in one of the resort's bars, enjoying the sunny terrace before heading back. The day ended on a perfect note. In short, this day at Grandvalira was a complete success. The ski area is vast, well-organized, and the skiing conditions were ideal. It's a resort that offers a wide variety of activities and will satisfy all types of skiers. I'll definitely be back!

A very good resort for skiing and après-ski, the best in the Pyrenees. It has significantly more skiable kilometers than most other resorts in the Pyrenees. Lift passes are inevitably expensive, consistent with Pyrenean prices, but not comparable to those in the Alps.

A superb and vast resort in the Pyrenees, with very modern ski lifts and highly efficient snow cannons. Thank you to the piste maintenance staff for their daily work.

Fantastic resort!! Everything is geared towards all levels, well done!! Truly magnificent scenery!! We spent a week there as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) and had a blast!! Plus, a slope at Pas de la Casa open until 8 pm is amazing!! We'll be back every year for a week!!
