I've been coming to Breil-Cervinia for many years, and I must say that, despite the urban planning disasters of the 1960s, some improvements have been made, hopefully with the hope that the various speculators won't continue to build (where, no one knows). The slopes are very well maintained, and the entire area, including Zermatt and Valtournenche, is beautiful. The slopes are generally wide, but many have a good gradient, and their width can be misleading for many non-skiers who go too fast (they ski downhill, not downhill). It's a shame about the Cielo Alto slope, which is beautiful but served by a shameful chairlift.
