Flachau Piste Map
Flachau’s terrain is built around the Grießenkar side of Snow Space Salzburg, with fast lift access from the village via key lifts such as Achterjet, Starjet and Spacejet. The pistes are generally wide, well prepared and clearly laid out, which makes the area easy to navigate even on a first visit.
Beginners and families should focus on the easier blue pistes and practice areas around the lower and mid-mountain sections. Kidsrun Flachau is a good family highlight, adding playful elements without taking children away from the main ski area.
Intermediate skiers get the most out of Flachau. The red pistes around Starjet and Achterjet are ideal for building rhythm, linking longer descents and enjoying the area’s broad, open slopes without feeling boxed in.
Advanced skiers should make time for the Hermann Maier World Cup course and the FIS race course. These are among Flachau’s signature challenges and give stronger skiers a more athletic feel without needing to leave the resort sector.
Freestyle-focused visitors can use Flachau as a base for the wider Snow Space Salzburg and connected ski areas, including snowpark options elsewhere in the network. Across the broader linked area there are 3 parks and 3 tubing lanes, adding variety for mixed groups.
One of Flachau’s biggest terrain strengths is how smoothly it connects into Wagrain and onwards through the wider Snow Space Salzburg network. The Panorama Link also opens access towards Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl and Zauchensee, so ambitious skiers can turn a Flachau holiday into a much larger linked ski experience.
