Černá hora – Janské Lázně features 19.8 km of skiable terrain across 60 hectares, with 21 pistes served by 12 lifts. The resort’s layout centres around the Černá hora summit, with descents reaching the spa town below. The vertical drop of 610 m allows for sustained runs, and snowmaking covers key areas to ensure consistent conditions throughout the season.

Beginners will find gentle slopes near the Formanky lift and the lower station of the gondola. The resort offers 14% beginner terrain, with wide pistes and surface lifts designed for early progression. The ski school zone includes tubing lanes and snow play areas, making it ideal for families with young children.

Intermediate skiers benefit from 48% of the terrain, with long blue and red runs such as Protěž and Anděl offering varied gradients and scenic descents. The Hoffmanky area features a high-speed six-seater lift and well-groomed pistes that cater to developing technique and relaxed cruising.

Advanced skiers can explore 33% of the terrain, including steeper sections near the upper gondola station. The Pod Kabinou run offers a 2.6 km descent with consistent pitch and reliable snow. The slalom stadium is open to the public outside race periods and provides a structured challenge.

Expert skiers will find 5% of the terrain classified as black, with technical descents and off-piste options near the summit ridge. While limited in quantity, these runs offer quality and are often used for training. Avalanche control and signage ensure safe exploration.

Freestyle riders can access two park rails and a small terrain park near the Formanky lift. The park is designed for progression, with features suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. Tubing lanes add variety and are popular in the afternoon when the snow softens.

Natural features include forested slopes, panoramic ridgelines and views over the spa town. The resort’s compact layout allows for easy navigation, and the combination of alpine skiing and wellness facilities makes it a unique destination in the Krkonoše region.
