Livigno’s terrain spans both sides of a long, sun-kissed valley, offering expansive views and wide-open skiing. The Carosello 3000 area is known for its scenic pistes and flowing intermediate runs that are perfect for cruising. Over on the Mottolino side, the slopes become more adventurous, appealing to advanced and expert skiers with steeper gradients and freestyle features. Together, these two sectors make up a connected and diverse ski area with a vertical drop of 1,084 metres.

For beginners and families, there are dedicated learning zones and gentle pistes near the village base, with easy access to ski schools and magic carpets. These zones provide a smooth introduction to skiing in a friendly, low-pressure environment. More confident intermediates can explore long descents, including a 2 km run that offers a satisfying mix of terrain and scenery without being overly technical.

Advanced skiers will find plenty of challenge in the resort’s red and black pistes, particularly on the Mottolino side where the slopes are steeper and snow conditions can be more dynamic. Two terrain parks—one on each side of the resort—cater to freestyle skiers and snowboarders, with jumps, boxes, rails, and progressive features designed for different skill levels. The Mottolino Snowpark is especially popular, having hosted international events.

Livigno also stands out for its natural features. The high alpine setting, with its sweeping ridgelines and open bowls, creates a memorable backdrop for a day on the mountain. Snow reliability is high due to the elevation and the resort's snowmaking capabilities, which cover key pistes when natural snowfall is lower.

Whether you're seeking your first skiing experience, refining technique, or pushing limits on steeper runs, Livigno’s terrain offers something for every skier. The well-maintained network of lifts—including gondolas, chairlifts, and surface lifts—ensures minimal waiting times and seamless access across the ski area, making the experience smooth from morning to après.
