I went there from December 14th to 21st, 2024, just before the school holidays, and also on Saturday, March 1st (school holidays).
This resort is a manageable size, not very large, but I wasn't able to ski all the slopes; some were closed, and I didn't have time for others.
I tested 3/4 of the chairlifts and they are fast.
Grands Jeux (Great Games)
Armoise (Armoise)
Plan Sec (slower because it's the one that leads to the green and blue runs of the ESF ski schools)
I didn't get a chance to try Fournache (to get to the summit and ski the more challenging runs).
So, the chairlifts are fast, pleasant, and easily accessible.
This resort is bathed in sunshine (yes, even in the middle of December!) and when it does show up, it's a real pleasure.
The snow was pretty good, and I didn't ski on slush (except on March 1st in the lower part of the resort from the Ortet and Toutoune junction, two blue runs).
In short, it's a resort I highly recommend, especially for beginners and families.
Experienced skiers should look elsewhere, as it will be too small for you.
Note that the Balmes (black run) seems to be frequently closed; it has a reputation for being the most difficult black run in the HMV area. (Haute Maurienne Vanoise), (Val Fréjus, Val Cenis, Bonneval-sur-Arc).
I didn't pay attention to the festivities outside of skiing, so I didn't have time to see what was happening outside of skiing.
