Half term ski trip. Unfortunately the majority of Chamonix pistes closed due to weather for the week. This means that the whole of Chamonix comes to this small resort and completely overwhelms its infrastructure. The ensuing result; multiple buses so full they don’t even stop to pick up passengers, a 5 minute Journey by bus taking 60 minutes, jaw dropping queues for lifts at the bottom when you finally get there (even when arriving incredibly early) and hour long waits at the end of the day for the short bus journey home. Took around 2hours in the morning to get up the mountain before any skiing happened, should have taken 15 minutes. I don’t know how often this happens but potential visitors need to be aware of this possibility before booking.

Ultimately, a disappointing resort with an unreasonable lift pass price that doesn't reflect the size of the ski area (only 55 km of slopes) and the age of the lifts. Suitable for beginners and young children. This resort is resting on its laurels and its location, without any modernization strategy. This is a real shame.

A magnificent location, slopes for all levels, without the Chamonix valley, a town right next door. Exceptional views and a majestic setting.

Tarif des forfaits trop chère par rapport au domaine. Au pieds des remonter les panneaux d'information sont en mauvais état. Forfait en plus des cours de ski sont trop chère. Manque d'activité pour enfants Hors ski. Ce n'est plus la petite station familiale, attractive. Ça veut jouer dans la cour des grands, mais sans en avoir le domaine.

Station idéale pour les familles débutant ou intermédiaire . Une vue a couper le souffle sur la chaîne du mont blanc, des Aravis et des Fiz. Navette gratuite pour le transport dans toute la vallée.

We’ve been skiing Les Houches for 12 years. All our four children and learned to ski on these slopes with ESF who have been brilliant. As they have grown we’ve tried bigger resorts but miss the tree lined skiing of this little haven.
