A top-notch ski area. A warm welcome and incredibly friendly shopkeepers (Le Slalom, the Photo Shop, the various bars, etc.)
Wide selection of tracks

Fantastic resort facing due south, so don't forget your sunscreen as the sun is often shining! The slopes are intermediate, there's something for everyone. From those who want to improve their technique on steep runs to those who prefer gentle slopes to admire the scenery, there's something for everyone. Go all the way to the top and you'll be rewarded with a magnificent panorama, with Mont Blanc peeking out from the center. The resort has a welcoming atmosphere and there's always something to eat for lunch or a snack break, like enjoying a delicious hot Viennese hot chocolate with a crispy waffle. The Piou Piou ski school is always there and offers a variety of activities for children. The toboggan run offers amazing rides for a small price, and you can always leave with a souvenir photo. I highly recommend this resort as it remains one of my best memories; you're never disappointed. Have a wonderful day! Jessica Monsinjon

The ski area is fantastic, especially with the connection to Valmorel, offering a huge number of runs. The snow is good, and the exposure is perfect. All the resort staff are friendly and welcoming. There's plenty to do for children, with activities available at the end of the day! The slopes aren't overcrowded and are well-maintained. I'd love to come back!
A south-facing area, with plenty of light and good snow all day long!
Some very narrow tracks, little activity in the evening.

Excellent resort, we've been going for six years now. Beautiful grounds and very affordable apartments. I highly recommend this resort to families and others.

The slopes are wide, ideal for snowboarding close to the edge. There are special offers with weekend lift passes, and the Carte Blanche card provides discounts on lift passes. The resort is being updated with small jumps and a new riding area on one of the slopes. The boardercross course is also fun. The view of Mont Blanc from the top of Le Frêne is breathtaking. Snowshoeing trails, spa treatments, bowling, and restaurants make the resort appealing.
Large ski area with wide slopes, ideal for snowboarding along the edges of the piste

A beautiful family resort, which I knew as a child in the late 70s and early 80s. A quintessential sunny resort, perfect for families, friends, or solo travelers. There's something for everyone. All levels are happy, from beginners to intermediate and advanced skiers. The connection to Valmorel is also very convenient. ☺️ We just have to hope that the snow will always return to Saint-François, so that it can continue to delight us for decades to come. ⛷️⛷️

Located in Savoie, in the heart of the Alps, Saint-François-Longchamp is a resort popular for its family-friendly atmosphere and access to a diverse ski area. Here's an overview of the strengths and limitations of this destination. Strengths 1. A diverse ski area: With its 165 km of slopes linked to Valmorel via the Grand Domaine ski area, the resort offers runs suitable for all levels, from beginners to intermediate skiers. 2. Accessibility and family-friendly atmosphere: The resort is easily accessible and ideal for families, with suitable infrastructure (ski schools, beginner areas) and a variety of activities such as toboggan runs and children's entertainment. 3. Sunshine and scenery: Its orientation guarantees plenty of sunshine throughout the day, offering exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. 4. Activities for everyone: In addition to skiing, you can enjoy a spa, snowshoeing, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Less desirable points: 1. Ski lifts could be improved: Some lifts are considered slow or prone to breakdowns, which can be frustrating, especially during peak season. 2. Lack of expert runs: Experienced skiers might find the ski area limited in terms of black runs or truly technical challenges. 3. Crowds during holiday periods: The resort can be very crowded during peak hours, leading to queues at the ski lifts and increased density on the slopes. 4. Limited nightlife: The resort is quiet in the evenings, which will appeal to families and those seeking relaxation, but might disappoint those looking for lively nightlife. Conclusion: Saint-François-Longchamp is a perfect resort for families and skiers seeking relaxation in a friendly atmosphere. While it has some limitations, particularly for experts or those who enjoy lively nightlife, it remains an excellent destination for a well-rounded and accessible ski holiday.
