I prefer this village over any in the 3 Vallees region - it is smaller, manageable, has a nice, authentic vibe and lacks the pretense and crowds of Courchevel and Meribel.
The village is a great base camp and connection to Les 3 Vallees. It is an authentic village, good restaurants, and feel without the crowds.
The trails leading back to the base of St. Martin are tame but get skied out at the end of the day - between the ice / hardpack and everyone coming off the mountains at the same time can make for an interesting end of a day!

It would be great to have a small carrefour or something on the mountain.
It was really good for beginners
Shops are very expensive.

Un magnifique village de montagne où vous serez vraiment plongés dans les Alpes, relié avec 600 km des pistes des 3 vallées. Qualité d'accueil, paysages, services, tout y est aussi bien en été qu'en hiver. J'y retourne 3 fois par an pour un dépaysement total avec le sentiment de liberté et la nature à couper le souffle.

Si vous cherchez une station village authentique en altitude reliée à un grand domaine skiable de qualité, alors Saint-Martin est fait pour vous ...on s'y sent bien à tout âge. L'accueil est de qualité! Les sorties jeunes sont peut être un peu réduites mais au moins c'est convivial et chaleureux ...
